Elizabeth Van den Eynden

Elizabeth Van den Eynden brings the same agility, discipline and competitive spirit to her legal practice as she has demonstrated by her international equestrian trophies. Whether in the courtroom or the show ring,

Elizabeth is a formidable opponent whose outwardly cheerful disposition is too often underestimated by those who eventually end up on the receiving end of her finely honed litigation skills. Boundless energy. Genuine compassion for those who are victimized. Spirited advocacy on behalf of her clients. Clients are confident knowing that Liz Van den Eynden is in their corner.

Elizabeth's reputation as an effective family lawyer is well established throughout Northern Nova Scotia. Her effective problem solving and negotiating skills routinely achieve desired outcomes through settlement, reserving the Courtroom for only necessary situations.

Elizabeth offers highly specialized expertise in dealing with family dynamics given her training in child welfare law. Her experience in dealing with parenting and psychological assessments, personality disorders and mental health issues, substance abuse, and child psychology create a deep skill set which can negotiate the most difficult terrain.

Elizabeth received her BA from St. FX University in 1984 and her law degree from the University of New Brunswick in 1987. She has served on the Council of the Provincial Barristers' Society, including as a member of its Discipline Committee. Elizabeth is actively engaged in her community, including assisting on numerous Boards and Foundations and providing volunteer legal advice and education to community organizations and laypersons.
